One of the perks of having a boyfriend is not just having a companion; it’s having access to someone else’s wardrobe—especially if that someone has great style.
Don’t mistake my love for fashion with my love for… well, love. I’m a sentimental woman with an affinity for dinner dates and a fresh bouquet of roses every month. But it’s what’s on him—not in him—that excites me more than any love letter could.
A man’s wardrobe is a collection of his experiences, interests and lifestyle. Much like your own style, each piece should tell a story and unveil a memory only few know. Seeing those pieces and learning the stories behind them is what excites me. That and “borrowing” my favorite hoodie to wear occasionally. (If I find a good-quality cotton or fleece sweater, I’m taking it. Future boyfriends: you’ve been warned.)
Beyond that, I actually have a deep appreciation for menswear. The tailored blazers, deep pockets and velvety fabrics make it feel sophisticated yet casual. Smart, yet unpretentious.

The right menswear has panache and intention. It cares about the finite details of an outfit—the subtleties that make clothes a statement, a story.
If you want to bring that intention, panache and structure to your looks, incorporate menswear into your wardrobe. Whether for the comfortable fabrics or the unfairly oversized pant pockets, I think any woman can benefit from bringing a few pieces into her closet for contrast.
Find my favorite menswear pieces (that may already be in your man’s closet) and how to style them below.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is in full swing. Polo jerseys have become a sportswear must-have during the games, with collaborations like Jacquemus x Nike Team France and Adidas x Willy Chavarria releasing earlier this year. Luckily, you can give these jerseys a shelf life beyond the games. Use it as your next off-duty essential this summer.
Create an unexpected color pairing with Tom Bolo’s navy jersey, On’s black midi skirt and Brandon Blackwood’s trunk; the chartreuse handbag will give this look the pop of color it needs for the summer.
To match the jersey’s white chain stitching, go for white thong sandals. And for a feminine touch, add a pair of drop earrings that will catch any eye.

From working-class men wearing them in the 19th century to entertainers sporting them during the early aughts, the baker boy hat has lived many lives. It’s an accessory that works well with streetwear, festival style or the runway.
Revive this vintage staple by pairing 47’s baseball cap with Jaded London’s oversized bermuda shorts and a basic tank for that modern streetwear vibe. With the flip flop revival in full effect, don’t be shy to add the Havaianas x FARM Rio flip flops too.
An underrated brand I’ve been eyeing lately is SelVon NYC, a sustainable jewelry brand, that has the chicest set of bracelets I’ve seen in a minute. Their wood bangles will add an element of texture every outfit needs. Alongside a pair of Y2K-coded sunglasses, you’ve got a streetwear look made for the city.

With temperatures reaching 80 degrees and up across the states, don’t over-accessorize. Keep yourself cool with a pearl necklace instead.
A$AP Rocky makes it feel like the perfect fit against a classic suit. (The Harlem rapper is also one of my favorite celebrities to unabashedly incorporate bold jewelry into his wardrobe.)
Instead of classic, go for dramatic. PH5’s wavy-cut maxi skirt and a fan add a bold energy to H&M’s off-the-shoulder top. Of course, Steve Madden’s heels ooze 2010s WAG style that’s perfect for a sporty summer, too.

Call me picky, but I think sunglasses can make the difference between something strewn together and something effortlessly stylish. Now, call me biased, but I believe Le Specs’s cream glasses make any outfit effortlessly stylish.
A look suited for brunch dates means embracing cream and light brown tones with Akira’s textured top and Joe’s Jeans barrel-leg pants. Keep accessories light too, adding BONBONWHIMS’s ring and the Telfar bag for simple, on-the-go wear.

I love wearing men’s clothing! Something about the structure of it and how it falls on my frame is chefs kiss!
